Get the Scoop On Essential Oils: What Are They? How Are They Used?

**I AM NOT A DOCTOR AND I DO NOT TREAT OR PRESCRIBE ANYTHING**

Essential oils have therapeutic properties making them the best natural source of physical,
emotional, and hormonal well being. There are several types of essential oils each with their own amazing properties. They are extracted from different plant parts such as the flowers, roots, leaves
and even the stem. Normally, the oils are extracted through steam distillation, but at times,
solvent extraction or maceration maybe used. Here are some of the most common essential oils you’ll find on shelves:

Eucalyptus

Lavender

Rosemary

Geranium

Lemon

Thyme
How to Use Essential Oils

Essential oils are mainly used in aromatherapy. During aromatherapy, the oils can either be
inhaled through a diffuser or a steam tent. They can also be added to warm baths which not only
vaporizes the oils for inhalation, but also aids in the absorption of the oils through the skin.
When inhaled, essential oils may provide relief for:

Anxiety

Stress

Jet lag

Mood disorders

Headaches

Sleep disorders

Migraines

Nausea

The oils have another set of benefits when applied direct ly to the skin. They are used during
aromatherapy massages, spot applications, baths, or during compression. Direct application of
the oils may help in:

Relieve  joint pains

Stimulate hair growth

Relieve back pains

Alleviate pain caused by arthritis

What You Need To Know Before Buying Essential Oils The price of essential oils differs from one type to the next. The general price variance depends on how easy it is to find the plant to produce the oil as well as how much of the plant is used to make the oil. Therefore, the harder it is to grow, harve
st, and process the plant to produce the oil, the more expensive it the oil, another factor in cost is the purity of the oils some companies will cut the oils with a fatty oil like coconut oil to help lower costs.

Using Essential Oils Essential oils should only be used with equipment specially designated for the oils. You should therefore refrain from using the oils on, say, your CPAP machine, or any other breathing aid. The oils can cause damage to incompatible equipment because they degrade plastics, and therefore can cause potential health concerns when used with the wrong equipment. Also, you should take caution when ingesting essential oils. Always ensure you are using oils from a reputable company that has a quality guarantee that the oils they sell are grown, harvested and distilled by them. I use Young living because I can go to any farm any time and verify the purity of these oils and they have a SEED to SEAL guarantee that their oils are NON-GMO and NO chemicals are used in the growing, harvesting or distilling process . Anything less could potentially create toxic oils. Before using any type of essential oil, make sure you consult your doctor to get the most out of them.

Before I jump too far into this oil, I think you should check this link out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_oil

If you checked that link out you probably had the thought, “Well, it’s a good thing I use Young living and not some other oil company!” If you were shocked and thought, “Oh boy, I wonder what is in my rose oil?” You should consider using Young Living for all your oily needs.

Rose oil is one of the most valuable oils for because it takes 22 pounds of rose petals to produce just 5 ml of oil and this increases the cost of the oil. Cost aside, rose is a super powerful oil and like all other oils, you can use this oil three main ways: aromatically, topically, or ingestion. Let us take a look at each.

Aromatically (diffusing):
Has a fresh uplifting aroma creating a sense of well being. It is said to have aphrodisiac properties (brown chicken brown cow). It may also help bring balance and harmony allowing one to overcome insecurities and enhance your mood.

Topically:
This oil is great for skin blemishes. It can be used to help moisturize your skin, and you can use it as an all-natural perfume. People often use it to reduce the appearance of scars.
Ingestion:

This is kind of a tough one and why I added the link to WIKI. Today, most rose oils are distilled using some form of solvent and therefore could be potentially harmful to your health. However, Young Living properly steam distills this oil, which is guaranteed under their Seed to Seal process. Rose can help with stomach issues; in fact, in some cultures they serve rose infused drinks as after dinner delights to give their guest a nice treat as well as soothe any stomach discomfort.

I could go on for days about this oil because it has SUCH amazing properties! One of the biggest reasons it is beneficial is because of the frequency level of rose. Rose has the highest frequency of all essential oils at 320MHz. Everything has a frequency, in fact a healthy frequency range for your body is between 62-72Hz. Around 58Hz is when the body is susceptible to sickness. When your body drops to a frequency of 48Hz or below, the body can be vulnerable to cancer and other serious diseases. Knowing that rose can help maintain or increase our frequencies, we can keep living a life above the wellness line!

Experts advise rubbing essential oils on your feet for maximum effect. In holistic healing, many practitioners believe that different parts of the bottom of the foot match up to different organs in the body. Applying essential oils on the feet is the best way to get the oils to the various parts of the body especially when combining with vitaflex. Also, the bottom of your feet is the least sensitive real estate of skin, which means chances of irritation are close to zero. You are not limited to rubbing the oils to the sole of your feet. You can also apply them almost anywhere on the body.

Applying essential oils to your skin can help:

Improve your moods, lessening the chances of stress eating
Alleviating stress and anxiety

Improving your immune system

Boosting your digestive system

You can also ingest some essential oils. However, make sure you know your oils before you do!! (NOT ALL OILS ARE EQUAL!).

Adding a drop or two of essential oils to a cup of yogurt, water or other foods is an extremely efficient delivery system, and it guarantees you results in a few days.

Lemon is also a petrochemical cleanser meaning it will help detox your body from build up and nasty things allowing your body to function better.

Rain Drop Technique?

What is the Raindrop Technique? Well, the short answer is:

The raindrop technique involves the amazing power of essential oils, mixed with a variety of massage techniques including back massage, vita flex massage and heat application. The technique is designed to bring the body back into structural and electrical alignment.
Benefits of Raindrop Technique:
  1. Assists in reducing pain
  2. Assists in reducing inflammation
  3. Helps improve circulation
  4. Assists in ridding the body of bacterial and viral causes of spinal misalignment, including scoliosis and kyphosis
  5. Helps relieve stress
  6. Stimulates immune function
  7. Works on multiple levels providing a physical, mental and emotional cleanse
Raindrop Technique assists in bringing the body back into balance by clearing and re-aligning major energy centers. On a purely physical level, Raindrop Technique helps reduce spinal inflammation, creating an inhospitable environment for viruses that hibernate along the spinal column thus assisting in straightening any spinal curvatures. It is not rare for a person to gain an eights of an inch or more  after a Raindrop Technique session as the spine has been re-aligned and stimulated.

Although a session lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, the oils will continue to work in the body for a minimum of a week following the treatment.

You should be drinking a lot of water before and after your session! This is important because you will be detoxing and your body needs more water to flush the bad out of you!

This is also a great way to support your immune system throughout the holiday seasons!

FIVE OILS THAT MAY CHANGE YOUR LIFE

We all know that scent plays a huge part in our lives. A particular perfume can remind you of your spouse, or when you smell your favorite dish, memories of how you first met the love of your life flood your mind. However, your sense of smell can do a lot more than remind you of the most significant moments of your life.

One particularly useful aspect of our sense of smell is that it can help your body heal itself. If you are thinking that sounds like something out of a B-rated sci-fi movie, you haven’t heard about essential oils. Essential oils can help you relax, lose weight, sleep better, help indigestion, and reset the central nervous system. These oils are good for more than just smelling nice. They can help you lead a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Essential oils can have positive effects on the body, mind and spirit. You don’t need to do a lot of work to get the benefits of these oils. All you need to do is apply them on your skin or inhale them with the help of a diffuser.

Now that you understand the general benefits of using essential oils, let’s get to the specifics of how you can heal your body with different essential oils. But, before we get to that, it's important to know that essential oils aren’t exactly oils because they lack fatty acids. Essential oils are basically plant extracts. The price depends on the labor and/or the amount of plants required to extract the oil.

5 Essential Oils To Help Your Body in 5 Ways:

1. Tea Tree for Skin Blemishes
Tea tree is one of the many essential oils you can apply topically. This is great news if you are looking to treat skin blemishes like acne and fungal infections. Just add a drop of Tea Tree essential oil to a cotton ball and apply it to the skin. Most skin care products have Tea Tree essential oil as an active ingredient.

2. Lavender for Mood Boosts
If you are looking for an essential oil to help you relax, then lavender is your best bet. It works well on cuts and bruises, too. Lavender scent was shown to reduce the stress hormone concentration in the blood, which is why you should always put a few drops in your bath.

3. Chamomile for Better Sleep
You may have heard about chamomile in tea circles, but it is also used as an essential oil for its relaxing effects. A drop or two of this essential oil in a cup of tea can help you sleep better at night.

4. Thieves to Fight off Colds
Thieves has a long amazing history that I will get into in another post. Thieves essential oil is a powerful combination of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus Radiata and Rosemary essential oils blended together for an aromatic blend that fills any space with a rich, spicy aroma. Thieves could be used to help reduce the time and affects of your sickness. My personal favorite is Thieves Tea (1-2 drops Thieves, 2-3 drops Lemon and honey to taste!)

5. DiGize for Digestion
DiGize essential oil is a combination of Tarragon, Ginger, Peppermint, Juniper, Lemongrass, Anise and Patchouli essential oils blended together for a spicy, exotic, aromatic blend. DiGize essential oil also includes Fennel essential oil; the use of which dates back to ancient Egypt. This oil is great for indigestion or after a big meal where you need help with digestion. I use it mostly if I get a stomach bug.

Okay, that's five amazing oils! You can find them HERE!!!
